Tuition for Graduate Students


According to the Notice on Enhancing the Management of the Graduate Student Tuition Standards and Other Issues by the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Education (2013), higher education institutions should, beginning in fall 2014, charge tuition fees of all of new graduate students admitted through the national graduate student enrollment plan. In reference to rulings by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province concerning the management of the graduate student tuition standards, Nanjing University has made its standards of tuition charge. The following are the standards as of 2016.


The tuition for graduate students on the academic track is charged according to the standards approved or recorded by price control authorities.

  • For master’s students of International Relations at the Center for Chinese and American Studies, the whole tuition is 44,000 yuan.

  • For master’s students of other subjects, the tuition is 8,000 yuan per year.

  • For Ph.D. students, the tuition is 10,000 yuan per year. 


The tuition for graduate students on the professional track is charged according to the standards approved or recorded by price control authorities.

  • For master’s students of Public Administration, the whole tuition is 60,000 yuan.

  • For master’s students of Engineering (Software Engineering), the whole tuition is 40,000 yuan.

  • For master’s students of Business Administration, the whole tuition is 225,000 yuan.

  • For master’s students of Auditing, the whole tuition is 100,000 yuan (temporary).

  • For master’s students of Accounting (full time), the whole tuition is 60,000 yuan.

  • For master’s students of Accounting (in service), the whole tuition is 100,000 yuan.

  • For master’s students of Fine Arts (Drama), the whole tuition is 60,000 yuan.

  • For master’s students of Fine Arts (Arts), the whole tuition is 45,000 yuan.

  • For master’s students of other subjects, the tuition is 10,000 yuan per year.
