Yan Qiang


From Aug, 1968 to Sep. 1977, Yan Qiang, as a school graduate, went to the countryside in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. In 1977, the first session of university entrance examination was resumed. He took the exam and was admitted into Nanjing university. In 1982, he recieved the bachelor's degree in philosophy. After graduation, he woked as a teaching assistant and lecturer of the Department of Philosophy in Nanjing University. Later, he followed professor Hu Fuming to study Lenin philosophy. From Sep.1986 to Aug.1994, he become the associate professor of the Department of Political and Administrative Management; the deputy director of the Teaching Affairs Office, the deputy director of Scientific Research Office. From Sep.1994 to Aug.1996, he seved as the professor, master's supervisor as well as head of the Department of Political and Administrative Management. From Sep.1996 to Sep.1997, he woked as a visiting professor to the government and the international politics of Hong Kong Baptist University; as well as a researcher of David See-Chai Lam culture communication between the east and the west. From Oct.1997 to Aug. 2004, he become the vice-president of the institute of public administration; director of the Asia-pacific in the 21st century; superintendent of institute of public affairs and policy, and doctoral supervisor of public policy analysis. Till now, he was the second level professor of the School of Government; doctoral supervisor; cooperation supervisor of political science post-doctoral mobile stations as well as Superintendent of institute of public affairs and policy; 2004-2016, part-time professor of Macau University of Science and Technology.

  

His main research areas: political theory, political science, international politics theory, theory of public administration and public policy analysis.
