Key Laboratory of Modern Acoustics (Nanjing University), Ministry of Education
The Ministry-of-Education Key Laboratory of Modern Acoustics was originally the Laboratory of Modern Acoustics, a state key laboratory jointly founded in 1989 on the basis of Nanjing University’s Institute of Acoustics by the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Scientific and Technological Commission, and the Ministry of Education with the financial aid from the World Bank loans. In addition, this laboratory was approved to be open to public use by the Ministry of Education.
In 1995, this laboratory became the State Key Laboratory of Modern Acoustics.
In 2007, after the laboratory passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Education, it became a Ministry-of-Education Key Laboratory of Modern Acoustics.
The laboratory is the only national acoustic training base for the undergraduate talents.
