Geng Qiang
Geng Qiang, male, Economics professor at Nanjing University Business School, Postdoctoral fellow at the Chinese academy of Social Sciences Industrial Economy Research Institute.
Prof. Geng studied in the department of economics of Nanjing University between 2004 and 2006. In 2008, he exchanged as an economic visiting scholar at University of Washington. After 2011, he was promoted to the Professor of Nanjing University, where he has been teaching ever since his graduation. As one of the most popular teacher of NUBS, He was awarded the first prize in 2011, the second prize in 2010 of MBA teaching respectively.
Prof. Geng's research areas include the macro Economic Theory and Policy, Economic transformation and progress, Environmental Economics and Financial Investment. In the field of research, he was awarded the Outstanding doctoral dissertation by the Education Department of Jiangsu Province in 2005. In 2011, Prof. Geng was awarded the second prize of the 11th Philosophy Social Sciences outstanding achievement of Jiangsu Province and the 8th Humanities and Social Science research achievement of Nanjing University simultaneously.
As the expert of the Macroeconomics, Prof. Geng co-authored the Macroeconomics Course and matched Questions Resolution for Nanjing University Business School. His personal research publications include the Foreign direct investment andChina's economic efficiency and the RMB exchange rate, asset prices and monetary policy - based on an empirical analysis of the transformation of China, both published by Nanjing University Press.
In recent years, Prof. Geng has been actively participated in research project with his research team. Supported by National Social Science Foundation, he conducted the project of the Heterogeneity of Enterprise cluster research based on labor cost differences (2014-2016), China's opening to the outside environment effect research (2008-2010) and a sub project of the development of circular economy to crack research the problems of resources and environment constraints (2006-2009). Entrusted by the Ministry of Education, Prof. Geng led to accomplish the research of the Transformation of the mode of development and take the lead in building a Service-oriented government in Yangtze river delta (2014-2016) and the research of Asset price fluctuations on the effect of monetary policy impact under the background of currency appreciation (2008-2010). Separately, his theory and practice results has published in the China industrial economy, Economic Research Journal, Social Sciences in China, Journal of Financial Research, QJE and other SSCI journals.
