Tang Zhengdong 

Tang Zhengdong, graduated and got the degree from School of Philosophy, Nanjing University (BA,1987; MA,1990;Ph.D 1997). Now, he is a professor of Marxist Philosophy and Critical Theory Studies at Nanjing University. From 2010 till now, he serves as the Dean of Department of Philosophy. His works over the past ten years have mainly focused on the studies of both contemporary capitalism and critical theories of western Marxism. He is the author of From Adam Smith To Karl Marx (Jiangsu People Press, 2009), The Critical Theories of Contemporary Capitalism in the Horizon of Economic Philosophy (Jiangsu People Press, 2009), Selected Reading of Philosophical Works of K. Marx and F. Engels (Beijing Normal Univ. Press, 2010), and A Critical Reading of New Changes of Contemporary Capitalism (Economic Science Press, 2016). At Nanjing University, his classes range from the first-year seminar on basic philosophy to graduate courses on Western Marxism; he has also taught courses on methodology of economic philosophy, studies of philosophy of young Marx.
