Li Bin


Li Bin completed his first phase of collegiate education in Library Science, Nanjing University, in 1986.  


After working in an institution of higher education for three years, Li Bin reentered into Nanjing University in 1989 to further study for a higher degree, but this time he transferred his studying specialty to the history of international relations.  


He was engaged by the university as a faculty member of the Department of Politics (which now is a part of the School of Government) whenafter being granted MA of History in 1992.  


From Since 1992 on, Li Bin has been working in the university to date. He was promoted to lecturer in 1994, associate professor in 1999, and professor in 2004.  


During the period of being a faculty member, Li Bin took part-time to complete PhD in History from 2000 to 2003 in the university.  


Academic interests of Professor Li Bin are in such areas as international political economy, international institutions and China’s diplomacy. He has published more than 70 papers and 3 books including International Political Economy (2005, 2008), International Organizations in World Economy and Politics (2001), International System (2000) so far in the areas. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal World Economy and Politics (from 2000-till now), one of the most well-known journal in international study. Professor Li is also the director of the Center of International Political Economy of Nanjing University (from 2012 till now).  


Professor Li Bin mainly teaches such courses as International Political Economy, International institutions, Contemporary China’s Diplomacy.
