Fan Jinmin
Fan Jinmin (PhD Nanjing University) is Distinguished Professor of Nanjing University and specialized in Chinese socio-economic history, Ming-Qing history and Jiangnan regional studies. He entered Nanjing University in 1979 and got the MA degree in 1986, since when he has worked in the department of history. He was research fellow of Harvard-Yenching Institute, visiting professor of Kyoto University Graduate School of Letters, foreign-research fellow of the Kyoto University Institute for Research in Humanities, and has lectured in Korea University, Soochow University, and Jinan University. He is deputy chair of the Chinese Society on the History of Ming Dynasty, and chair of the Chinese Society of Economic History. He has published over 100 papers in Social Sciences in China, Historical Research, Journal of Chinese Historical Studies and Researches in Chinese Economic History. His recently published monographs include Commercial Disputes and Litigations in Ming-Qing Period, and Clothing the World: Studies of Jiangnan Silk Production of Ming-Qing Period.
