Zhang Bowei

Prof. Zhang Bowei is a professor of Classical Chinese Literature at School of Liberal Arts, Nanjing University. He received his BA, MA and Ph.D from Nanjing University respectively in 1982，1984 and 1989. His interests include ancient Chinese literature and Sinitic texts.

He is the author of the Guidelines to the study of Sinitic texts（Fudan University Press, 2012）, Reading the Sinosphere as the methodology for studying the Sinosphere（Zhonghua Book Company, 2011）, Chan Buddhism and poetics（People’s Literature Publishing House, 2008）,  Collected Works on East Asian Sinitic texts（Taiwan University Press,2007）, A Preliminary Study of the Eastward Transmission of Qing Poetic remarks（Zhonghua Book Company, 2007）, A Study of the Methodology of Classical Chinese literary criticism（Zhonghua Book Company, 2002）, Collected research on Tang and Five Dynasties poetic patterns（Jiangsu Ancient Books Publishing House, 2002）,  A Study of Classical Chinese Poetics（Liaohai Press 2000）, editor of the Complete Collections of Chosun Period Women’s Poetry and Prose（Phoenix Publishing House, 2011）, Collected and Annotated Bibliographies of Chosun Period books（Zhonghua Book Company, 2004）, Journal of Collected Essays on Sinographic Texts（12 issues）, （Zhonghua Book Company, May 2005- Dec. 2015).
